Hello all,

I am looking to install an Avic-D3 in my 04 Chevy Epica LT. For those of you in the U.S. wondering what that is. I believe it is known as the Suzuki Verona over there. I think I am going to order it online from Sonic Electronix but my question is when I fill out my online order do I enter my vehicle info as a Suzuki Verona and will the install equipment they send be what I need for my vehicle? Also is there anything special that I should request or I need for the install? Which steering wheel control pack is required for my vehicle? Thanks.

Also, I have noticed that the factory refurbished units are also available at a discounted price. Has anyone had any problems with these units or should I pay the extra couple bucks and get the new unit?

So... where exactly are you? Because if you're not in the united States or Canada, you're wasting your money by buying a US navigation unit, because it won't work.

Oops, I'm in Ontario, Canada but I just assumed most of the board members were from the States. Also the website I'm ordering from is in the States and therefore would probably not be aware of the Epica name.

OK. I thought you might have been in Europe or something. Does the Epica have a US counterpart? I guess you'd have to ask them about what kits they're giving you, really. But if the company is US based, they're most likely going to tell you they don't have the adapter/kit for your car, because it's not going to be in their database.

You're going to have to do some research and find out what if there is a US counterpart for your car, and if it would require the same wiring harness adapter and mounting kit, and order that.

Or just go to a local Canadian car stereo shop and buy the right parts there without all the hassle.
