Just thinking a little bit. Would it be possible to hook a wireless mic system to the Z series. Maybe find a battery operated receiver and a tie clip microphone. Probably need a lot of conversions such as stereo mic input to 3.5 mm input but that is all possible. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any system that can be tried.

Why? I'd settle for a completely hidden microphone that actually works. I don't need to be able to talk on the phone from 15 feet outside my car, I just want it to work when I'm sitting in the driver's seat.

Yea, that was the intent, not to be 15 feet away. Maybe getting a better quality professional mic, and place it on the collar or visor, rather than on the riser bar or something.
