does the ipod classic 80g works good with avic-d3?

can i play movies and music using only my HU buttons?

Nope. You can downgrade the firmware to 1.0.2 if you want to get video out of it. But...You will still have to press play for movies on the ipod (you will with all ipods on the D3)

It works fine for music. But for video, you would have to downgrade the firmware.

thought it was impossible to view movies from th e ipod without the special cable.

^That is for the most part true... Unless you downgrade the firmware to 1.0.2 you would have to buy the Apple cable and run the ipod through the auxillary input and lose the D3 ipod controls.

correct me if i am wrong, only with ipod cable and frimware downgrade i can watch movies and control the only through the ipod buttons if i want to play songs i can do it and control through my avic-d3...?

do you know guys if the ipod 80g classic has the option to choose ntsc or pal ?

i checked and i CAN choose between NTSC to PAL.

do u know how to downgrade the ipod i found this link but i am having some problems?

in step number 3 i should put 2 files in X:\Documents and Settings\*YOUR PROFILE NAME*\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates but my last folder after itunes is itunes plug-ins should i put the files there?
