Anyone find a way to remove this in the z3? It seems to be built in and cant be removed. Its annoying to keep pressing okay when starting up.

Ah man....... We just cleaned out our storage closet in Engineering at work about 2 weeks ago. One of the things was an IDE interface analyzer, it tapped into an IDE stream to monitor what was going on. They used it on some products years back, been in the closet ever since. At the time I couldn't think of anything it would have been useful for, so it left with the recyclers. I wonder if it would have been possible to monitor the IDE data stream going to the hard drive while the unit boots, to at least get a pointer of where to start looking for such things.. I doubt the screen can be removed all together (the hitting "OK" part) as the program is looking for that input, but you could theoretically make the warning screen "clear" so at least you'd only see a small "OK" box.. Ok, it's late and I'm thinking too much... lol

The only work-around is to have a route active...It doesn't come up then...

I personally think that it is a registry setting like the legalcaption on windows machines. I have been looking at a way to find the files on the drive but I haven't had luck yet.

The OS isn't on the drive, in case that's where you're looking.

werd, we've looked into this, but without some serious firmware modding or removing chips from the mainboard, probably not gonna happen.

I agree. I haven't actually gotten a chance to physically open the headunit itself to look at the board inside, but I have been testing some IA-32 decompilers to see if it would be feasible to break apart the Windows code and see if we can crack this egg. All it takes now is for someone to pull the needed data off the board, and right now I don't have the resources for that. :(
