My problem is that when every single time i try loading the phone book the conection between the unit and the phone is lost and the unit says that it's waiting for the phone to send it....

I had to hack the phone (thanks to our lovely greedy Verizon) to enable OBEX, bluetooth, and other phone features, however i still have the same problem.... arrrgggghhh

Please help...

maybe i'm just doing it wrong.

I can't help you(yet), but maybe you can help me. I have the same phone with the big V as well. What hack did you do to the phone to enable OBEX?

I'm always wary of phone hacks I find on the web, I had a very bad experience with one.

I believe the best resources for hacking are:

Mark's CDMA forums is pretty much "the guy" when it comes to motorola phone hacking.

Although to do the phone/address book transfer you might need OPP as well. I don't know if that is enabled in the E815 yet or not. Haven't done much reading on it. The E815 is the wife's phone and she hates it when I mess with her stuff :)
