Hello all, I have an Avic d3, about a month or two now. My phone is BB8830. All was working perfectly, then about a week ago or so when I receive an incoming call, my music mutes properly, the caller ID shows the number but the ringtones don't play through the speakers, only on the handset. I don't believe I changed anything. There doesn't appear to be a relevant setting in bluetooth or phone options that would address this.

Any advise or experience woould be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

I changed phones from a Motorola to a Nokia N 75 and had the same problem. I tried all things, deleting both phones and reinstalling the Nokia through bluetooth. I finally got it to work but when I sent the address book one by one to the phonebook, it disconnected the bluetooth. All addresses were transferred but then I had the same problem, everything showed up on the monitor but nothing went through the speaker. I removed the phone and it still would not work but when I dialed a call from the phone it started working through the speakers again. I have the phone registered but do not have the phone book on the D3. Not sure how to correct the problem, pioneer told me to reset but that did not work. If you solve the problem please let me know.

One solution is to go into "System" menu settings and under the "Ringtone" option, select "On".

This simply allows the D3 to play its standard built in ringtone when an incoming call is received. It is not direct fix for not playing my BB ringtones but at least it will ring through my speakers and not just on my blackberry (in case I forget to turn on my ringer after a meeting or something)
