I found this for the D1 so it should work for the D2.

Set the screen so its all the way down and hold down the dvd eject then the reset button for a few seconds, then let off of the reset button, keep the eject button held down for another few seconds. Then the screen will say press reset. instead using the joystick, press up,up,down, down then push it in at the center. It will come up with options. the first one is touch screen test. using the joystick click on that one and do the calibration test. You will then have to trace the outline of the screen, while you are on the right side of it, trace it short to make up for the buttons on the right side. when you finish push the joystick in. it will say "settings ok" then go down to the 4th one, i think, and it will say something like test calibration settings and go to that one. It should say that the settings were saved. After that shut the key off and turn it back on and it should be good to go.

You may have to send it in.Sometimes there's no other way.

The instructions above are ALMOST correct - open the face and hit the DVD eject and reset at the same time, releasing the eject button as it says. When the screen says Press Reset, use the joystick and press up, RIGHT, up, RIGHT, down, RIGHT, down RIGHT, then center. Your option screen should come up without any problems. I don't have the menu but it's easy to navigate through the screens. The "Back" button referred to in some of the menus is one of the little black buttons on the far right of the screen frame. Push one and see if it works. No harm if you hit the wrong one first...

This is what I used for my D2. I'll find the page I used for a guide and repost with a confirmation of how I did it. I haven't had any problem getting to the menu.

I found the original write-up that I used to get into the screen, and it is as I wrote above. Open the screen fully, then press and hold both the reset and nav eject buttons. Release the reset button, but hold the nav eject until the screen goes black with the "Please press reset button" message - DON'T! Press the joystick up, right, up, right, down, right, down, right, then center. The password screen will come up for a second and go away, then you will be in the test mode screen. Scroll through until you find what you need to fix or set. When you are done, scroll back to the main screen and exit, then wait for the screen to say Press Reset again - then do it. I just tried it and it works fine on my D2.
