I have an Ipod nano that I am trying to have play on my head unit. I had a soundgate Ipod hookup that plugs into (with an IP bus connector) my Sirius radio tuner, which plugs into the AVIC unit. Well the Soundgate thing doesnt work, so I found out that I needed a Pioneer unit to plug into the radio tuner. Well I got the Pioneer CDRB10 Aux Input, and I am still not getting anything. All connections are good. Any help would be appreciated.

Try the CD-IB100II or CD-IB100 instead. You can use either of those and control the ipod from the D1's touchscreen rather than just plugging RCA's from the ipod into an auxillary port and using the ipod for control.

But anyway, what exactly isn't working? Does it not recognize there is anything plugged in, or does it recognize it and not play anything? Need more info, I guess.

I'd like to see if I could get this stuff to work since I've already spent the money on it. One reason I went with what I did was because of how much of a PITA it seemed (from reviews) to scroll through the Ipod and find songs; I'd rather just do it from the Ipod.

Well it doesnt even recognize it is plugged in. I plug it in the IP bus port (input) on the Sirius tuner box. The EXT-1, EXT-2 or AUX "button" on the source menu should appear raised, but none of them do. I plug the Ipod in, turn it on, and nothing...

Maybe you need to enable the auxiliary port in the settings menu. I don't know if that's the case with the D1 because it's an external attachment the aux input runs from, but with theD3 you can the aux inputs on and off in the settings menu so if it's turned off, the source button for it won't be selectable even if something is plugged into it.

hm.. i never thought of that. do you know where I can find the control for this setting?

I'm not familiar with the D1's menus, but there should be a system settings menu somewhere. If there is a setting for this, it would most likely be there. I'd say just roam around in the menus and see if there's an option for it somewhere.

Source the deck to off. Touch the screen. Hit AV menu or whatever pops up after you touch the screen. It would then be in initial or setup
