How did that work out for you? Also, how did you go about getting pioneer to fix it for you? My N2's front buttons barely work and the screen goes black sometimes.

Any help?

all i did was call the pioneer 1800 number from their website and told them i needed to send it in for the flex cable fix and they gave me an address to send it to. i reinstalled it today and everything so far has been working properly.

Glad that it worked out for you!

I've decided on mine, that I'd rather pay to get it done from Rich (the Ebay guy) and get a couple of other goodies added to it also (bypass mod with upgraded software).

I've heard some good and bad about the Pioneer repair.

Did you have to send in the brain too?

i wasnt told to, so all i sent in was the HU itself w/ no faceplate

That's odd because they told me to send it all in and I wasn't going through all of that, so I just sent it to Rich. He walked me through everything that he was going to do/look at and when I get my unit back, it should be like new or maybe even better. :D
