i was wondering if i need the whole interface box cdib100ii for the ipod and iphone (i will be buying the new one in july!) or will just the cable work? i want to be able to control the functions through the pioneer not the ipod itself.

Whats the difference between the two? I've tried searching and didnt find squat explaining the differences, if any.
