hey guys, i just ordered a pair of headrest monitors, what else do i need to hook them up to my z2? a junction box or something like that? also, how do I control when the monitors turn on, wire the power to the selector wire on the deck or what? also, do the monitors display whatever my z2 displays or only if there's video playing? i tried searching, but nothing useful came up... if there's a diy to installation of these, please point me to it.

Hard to say. Wait till your hr monitors arrive and see if they have an in/out and not just an in. If so, then no j-box or splitter should be needed.

Power - I wired mine to switched power and ground. The monitor turns on when the deck does, but it's a flip down, so if not in use I cant see it.

Display - You can select in the Z menu whether the monitors mirror the deck or stay on DVD or TV(?) only. If you want them to follow the Z, then just select the "mirror" function. I could be wrong, but I think this is in the A/V selection menu. It's in your manual.

Finding info on the install of you rmonitors would probably be more conducive on a site dedicated to the monitors or your specific vehicle.
