i was wondering which output would be better to control my 5G IPOD the AUX output or the IPOD cable? And would i get the same commands if i used either cable? any help would be appreciated.

its the same thing sound wise theyre both direct connections as opposed to the fm transmitter. it comes down to wats more important to you, convenience or saving $$:

-iPod Cable allows you to control the iPod thru the deck, but costs more

-Aux wire costs much less but you control the iPod manually
