Hi folks, newbie here..i still haven't decided which system to go for, but the ones on my shortlist are all 'i pod ready', for music and video. Problem is, i haven't got an i pod, but an archos 504...does anyone know if it's possible to hook that up, instead of the i pod?

ya but not with a cable that u can control through the deck. ud need an aux cable and control it manually.

you got me there lol i have no idea how thatd work. i only know audio and video, hard drives and usbs are a different ball game

You can try it, but the interface using the USB add-on is HORRIBLE, not to mention there's no guarantee that it will even work because it's not really a simple usb storage device. It's meant more for a small USB stick type drive, rather than a large storage type device. You'd spent 10 minutes looking around for the song you want to play, and that's even if it works. Your best bet is to just hook it up to the AV inputs.
