I got a good deal on not one but two Avic's, a D1 with d2 software and a new screen, and a D2. I cut the dash, and with a little abs and vinyl got it installed in my 1990 Crx Si. However, it obd0 and there's no VSS. However GPS seems to work alright. I did the bypass mod, and I see that Pioneer sells a speed pulse generator, do I really need it for 250 bucks? What am I losing by not having it. Also, one of the avics didn't come with a power harness, the one from Pioneer. Any one have a spair for sale? Thanks.

The VSS just helps keep the GPS more accurate, but in all honesty, it's pretty acurate without it and is definitely not worth spending $250 for a speedpulse generator. Especially on an 18 year old CRX.
