I am interested in purchasing an Avic-Z1. I was going to get an ipod Video to play movies off of it. I am still trying to figure out if this is possible and how it is done. I read on here that all you need to do it connect the ipod to the AV in the back of the Z1 and thats it. However how do i play movies?

You would need to get something like this and hook the RCA plugs into your RCA in to be able to watch videos off your iPod.

That seems pretty simple. Do you know who the audio would be. Would there be any drawbacks?

Also how would i play the movies on the Z1? For example, on a PC i would love the movies in a program that plays movies. How is this done on the Z!?

The Z1 would just play the movie. You would control it and it would be stored on your Video iPod.

I don't know about the audio, although it should be pretty good considering it is coming out of the dock connector rather then the headphone plug.
