I have a SIR-PNR1 in my current Pioneer. When I went to a local install shop today, they said that this one will work perfectly with my new Z-1. When I checked the quick start up guide for the Z1, it states that you need a
SIR-PNR2. Does anyone know if the PNR1 will work, or will you just not have full features? Please help, I am doing the install tomorrow!

Well, it seems like it should be working , but I amnot receiving even the test channels. I have ordered the other model to see if that helps, they are going to swap them out for free. My bypass that I had made is not working either. My radion was made in July, so not sure if that is the , or the setup. The setup is tried and true on pre July models, so we will see.

I will post some pics of the setup, we mounted it in my single Din, 2002 Avalanche.Looks great!

The older Sirius tuner works. There are a few things you need to make sure are connected properly: the antenna and the bus connector. Verify these connections with your installer...it looks like you did not install it. Some shops take short cuts and may easily overlook simple connections. Good luck.

Not to mention POWER! Make sure the power leads are connected properly and probe them to make sure you have power and ground.

The only thing you get with the PNR-2 is game alerts and song alerts, neither of which I'm interested in. It would have been nice to have SiriusTraffic but they don't ever seem to know there is a traffic accident on the traffic stations until I'm almost through the traffic so I can't imagine the automated re-routing would actually work.
