i have to install one for someone in the morning ,,

 

post the link how to bypass it , is it like the n4 or like the n2 bypass?

 

some of these post jump around in the the n series post ,,

 

 

ground park break wire with ground ,

 

and in an other post it says to look for a switch in a sticker,,

and like i did on a d3 , use the phone mute wire and install it in the plug with the rca's ,,

Go to the hacks/mods board in the D-series section. There are 3 or 4 stickied topics that show exactly how to do the bypass there.

 

Basically, you only have 3 steps involved:

1. Ground the parking brake wire

2. Ground the mute wire

3. Move the mute wire from it's original pin location on the RCA harness to the empty pin location directly above it

 

That's it. The switch/sticker thing is only for bypassing the older D1 and D2 units IIRC. There is no switch on the D3. There's plenty of info in the bypass topics with pics and everything, so you shouldn't have any problems.
