MSN Direct

Hello,

Just wondering is MSN Direct really worth it?

I saw the website and MSN direct does offer lots of things but only weather, gas, movies, and traffic on the F-Series.

Do you think that a new firmware upgrade from Pioneer might include the extras that MSN Direct offers for others? Such as news, events, and others? Or would that require a hardwire change...

Thanks.

Hopefully a software upgrade fixes it. For now I would not pay for the service.

You do get 3 months to try it out free.

And after I signed up for that, MSN offered another 6 months of the service for $9.95 + tax. So for about $1.15 per month average, I figured it was worth a try.

I've used it a few time with decent results, even in areas that I didn't think would have usable data or signal strength.

It does take a few minutes for the info to update after you first power up the system.

No, no no. You have to get the 900 or 90 to get MSN Direct.

I think that's actually Pioneer's crappy way of making it unavailable. They should have just completely removed it from the UI (but they do a lot of not very bright things, so it's not a huge surprise).
