I'm not even sure how to explain this but I'll do the best I can.
I took my car for 4 hour drive on the 4th of July and as usual after an hour and half the stereo stopped working due to heat issue (I have the disc to correct the problem, I just haven't had the time to run it). Once the AVIC Z-1 stopped working I just put in my headphones turned on my ipod and was good to go.
I started my car this morning for the first time since the 4th and now Im not getting hardly any sound at all. I have to turn the volume up all the way and only than do I get a little noise from the sub-woofer.
Before the stereo froze up due to the heat issue I wasn't blasting it so Im sure I couldn't have blown the speakers. Could it be the HU or the amp thats causing the problems? I have a jl audio 6 channel amp (not sure which one) installed as well.
I'd take the car to the local car audio shop but the passenger side window needed adjusting so right now it's sitting at the dealership getting that done.
