Anyone here on this FORUM have a Pioneer AVIC-D2 and have the Pioneer BLUETOOTH installed? IF SO, please let me know with the model and such... I am getting mixed reviews that it wont work and that it will work. Thanks!

I have a D1, and I'm wondering the same thing. From searching here all I can come up with is that it doesn't work that well, but nothing explaining why.

It doesn't work well because the D1 and D2 were made before the BT200 unit was, and therefor don't have the proper interface for it to work correctly.

Thats what I've found from searching so far.. But what does "doesn't work well" mean? All I want it to do is answer the phone, and put the sound over my speakers. Don't care about address book access or any other features like that.

I works as an external device. That means 8-characters of text only and a limited amount of buttons to control it. Controlling it is probably going to be non-intuitive and cryptic as well.

Even as an external device, it should at least let you answer the phone and put the sound over your speakers.

Accessing your address book or other features would probably be nearly impossible.
