I plugged in my new iPhone this weekend and found the video tab is enabled!

Music plays in the right order and it charges the phone correctly (it also work on my z2 but it does not charge when plugged in to the z2)

Music plays in the right order

No more alphabetical order? That's great news, I just installed the 2.0 firmware on my 8GB Touch so I'm hoping this fixes that issue.

Well the iPhone never did the alphabetical, only my ipod did. I was more concerned the new firmware might cause it to start having the issue.

So you say the video tab is enabled does that mean the video does work ? with the new Iphone 3G ???

Yes the 3g iphone works with my avic-f700bt very good. The bluetooth connects easily, the video works great and music works. Every once in a while i get a message saying voice recog. didnt activate correctly but 90% of the time that doesnt happen. and if i reconnect it that usually fixes the voice recog problem.

can you try installing pandora app or something and let me know if it works through the pioneer?

i want to use pandora on my iphone through the HU and see if i can play it without having to use an Aux in jack.

Ok thanks sounds great I am just waiting on my Iphone now.

I guess if you are watching a movie the movie stops playing ones the phone rings does audio from the phone call go over Bluetooth or the Iphone cable?

Does the voice commands work as well say name and music list?

any updates on how well the 3G works with the new firmware?

Posted Jul 22, 2008 · 18:22 UTC#9

The Ipod Touch 2.0 still won't work, btw. At least, I couldn't get it to work on mine. :(

3G works fine with the new update, but then it worked fine with the old firmware too (other than the same issues that everyone complained about).

Pandora works via Edge (albeit occasionally choppy) on the F90BT and the first gen iPhones with 2.0 installed. (Video works fine, and always has for me)

If I had a second gen iPhone with 3G, I would seriously consider using Pandora full-time and dropping Sirius.

That's my plan, I'll let you know how it goes.

That's what I did and it works flawlessly (almost).....except for the fact it displays some random album art (generally the first song on the iPod part of the iPhone) instead of what plays on Pandora....I'm kinda OCD like that..

are you able to transfer phonebook from iphone 3g to the f90bt?

Posted Jul 30, 2008 · 18:37 UTC#15

Yes. You can transfer the phone book.

How is it going with Pandora? That would be a cool thing to do!

Audio works but the song information isn't displayed correctly. I actually ended up returning my unit. I just wasn't happy with how much I spent and what I ended up getting.

Go to the AV config menu and set AV1 to Ipod. Took me a few minutes to figure that out.

Did you ever figure this out? Because it doesn't seem to transfer for me either.

What type of connection are you using to get your iPhone to stream through the radio? I've tried the built in usb cable and that didn't work, i've tried bluetooth and that didn't work, and i've tried plugging a 3.5 into the front and that didn't work. :(

You don't initiate the transfer from the iphone, you initiate it from the AVIC and it pulls it from the iphone.

After the units are paired, just go into the AVIC and ask it to do the Phonebook Transfer from the Phone Menu.

(yeah, I know I answered a year old question, but someone should have)
