I apologize that I just posted this under the the N-series by mistake. So here it is under the the proper heading.

This is my first post so please be kind. I just had a Z3 installed in a 2006 Chrysler 300c. I receive no sound from the navigation woman or bluetooth. Other people can hear me if I make a call, but I have no sound coming from the speakers. Also, if music is playing it will mute for or a call or nav instructions. I'm going back to my installer next week & I'm hoping I can get some info to help him out. Thank you in advance. Great site!

Double check your settings as listed below from the manual:

Changing the voice output of the navigation guidance. You can set the speaker to output the navigation guidance and phone voice, etc.

1 Touch [Guide/Tel SP] in the System Settings menu.

Each touch of [Guide/Tel SP] changes the settings as follows:

• Left SP — Uses only the front left speaker

• Right SP — Uses only the front right speaker

• L+R SP — Uses both the front right and left speakers

Hopefully yours is set in Right SP...

Mine is set to both left & right. This is why I'm receiving no sound at all for these two functions. You're saying if I set it right only I'll start to hear sound. Why would this matter? Thank you for your help.

I've just tried driving around with all three options selected (L+R, L only, & R only). My music does mute so I know the nav is taking, but there is still no sound. I've read somewhere it might be an amp issue & that I'll have to hook the front channel to the rear in the wire harness. I'm not sure if this was done by my installer or not. I guess I'll mention it to him & see what he says. If that is what is happening would I still get sound from my other sources through all speakers like I currently am? Thanks for the help!

If you have a factory amp installed, chances are the installer didn't interface it with the AVIC correctly...

take it out and make sure he connected the avics system remote control wire to the ams remote wire. its the blue and white wire on the rca connector. when i hooked the z in myne a while back (my first car with an upgraded system) i forgot to connect that wire, and for an entire day i was puzzled for y i wasnt getting sound.
