getting this after upgrade...
Gettting message at every start up...
Does it go away? or do you power it down like it's instructing you not to?
nope. i get it at every start up...
nope. i get it at every start up...
meaning you're turning it off with that message up...
i'm gonna suggest reimaging.
No. I get this at EVERY startup
he knows that. reimaging is a process to try n fix it
i understand that... but wouldnt it of fixed its self by now??
no idea. im an installer not a computer expert. but if it happens everytime and just stays there it looks like a hard drive problem. hyperite knows more about that than i do, but my guess is it wont fix itself if it hasnt already

right. i already asked if it goes away and you said no. and since you're saying you get it on multiple startups, that means you're turning it off while the message is on the screen, which is exactly what it's telling you not to do. by now, the file system is probably pretty fucked, so reimage it and start over.
narrowed it down to a corrupt folder, not sure what partition its is because i lost the damn partition names, the partition contains: BACKUP, OLD_BACKUP, OLD_RW, OLD_SETUP, RW, SETUP, SRAM, SYSTEM.
The corrupt folder is: BACKUP, its 24k in size, can someone put it on here so i dont have to re-image this a 3rd time please?
EDIT: i cannot even delete the damn thing, any chance somehow someway someone could send me the entire folder? (2Mb) I guess ill have to format that partition and copy it on there
Only takes, what...15 minutes to reimage? And if you REALLY don't want to for some reason, you can just use acronis to extract those specific files.

15 minutes huh?
I'm not sure what you're showing me.... corrupt image?

Looks like a hosed up image to me.
i have no freggin idea, i give up

If it were me, I would either try to stick a freshly burnt update disc in it to see if it'll correct itself.... Or I would re-download a good image, and try to re-image the entire thing again...
I believe that one of the partitions is actually a type of "last known good" type partition just for these occasions and/or whensomething isn't right.... And what the system is probably trying to do... But your "backup" partition is hosed, so it can't do shat....
Honestly, I would try to download the latest update from Pioneer, and see if it'll boot to it...and hopefully fix itself....and if not, then I would pull the drive, download a good image, and redo the image completely..
Just finished my upgrade (Z2 to Z3). I also got that message too. Has anyone seen this or know the cure for it?
Based on your post in another thread, this is a brand new upgrade. Reimage the drive. Something was corrupted.
Sorry for not getting back with result. I reimage and yes, that took care of problem. I've also had several problem, one being that I didn't properly disable my security and had to pay 10 bucks and the other was my trial version of Acronis trial time expired. I did find Seagate's version of Acronis http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/suppor ... discwizard and used it many times without problem. So, I'm not sure if the software was corrupt as I used the same image with Seagete's Acronis without problem. Whatever it was, I'm a happy Z3 upgrader!
Congrats! Thanks for the update.
