Hi,

I just want to say this site is among the greatest I have ever discovered!

I just want to say thanks to everyone that helps with the development and discovery of all the possibilities of this units.

I have been lurking for about a year watching and reading and reading and reading. :)

Well My question is:

I have a Z2, bypassed.. but I want to get new maps for it..

I have tossed up the idea of the image update, but don't really want to spend any money on it..

Is there any way of doing a Map Update without going thru the hassle of doing the image burn procedure?

I see the CNDV-800HD is out or coming out.. Is it available via torrent? I searched but found nothing.. at least yet..

Thanks again for everyones support with the site.

Not at this time, and even if/when the upgrade disc is available, it'll require a license key. If you're not willing to spend the $5 to copy the new image to your drive, I doubt you'll want to spend the ~$200 for the license.

Its only $120 for the Z3 update Disc boss.

Plus many Z owners don't wanna tinker with the HDD that can result in problems and have Music in their library that irreplaceable.

Well they have license keys for pretty much everything out there..

Why wouldn't the/a license key be available for this?

And exactly the reason.. I don't really want to tinker with the HDD..

Come on! It has nothing to do with you not wanting to tinker with the drive. You're just too cheap to spend the money (either buying an imaged replacement drive, or the official update from Pioneer). That's totally fine, just have the balls to admit that's the reason.

Because the people capable of extracting a license key (me) found an easier way :)

All are officially correct..

There are other reasons..

-I am cheap.. I don't wanna spend money on it.. Like stated prior

-I have an extended warranty on the unit and I don't want to throw that away..

-Just doing software updates is just fine with me.. If need to I can put a subwoofer really close to it and say it doesn't start up..

-I like the Motto K.I.S.S.. Keep It Simple Stupid..
