you're just paying for the 7" screen size in the Z's
everything else SUCKS ! except for 12million POI's that the competition can't match.

How come it's in the F Series?
The F-Series is brand new, and features a completely different protocol for connecting to iPods. Without hardware changes, that's not possible with the Z-Series.
I agree though, Pioneer should have taken the opportunity to get rid of the 80's style menus on the Z-Series.

not really, but it's nice to know that it's there. last night i was looking for some tiny obscure french restaurant in the LA metro area and it found it.
but that's about the only redeeming feature because :
The radio tuners sucks, only 5 stations per screen and it doesn't display station info like GM and Ford and Toyota's (and other ) OEM radios do.
The music library scrolling system sucks !
It would be wonderful to be able to grap the scroll bar instead of tapping on the arrow.
iPod songs/artists controls are terrible.
The navi is very iffy when it comes to mixed routes (as in routes that require taking multiple freeways and multiple main boulevards)
But we ALL know what the most hated feature (or lack there of) of the Z's is... LoL........ PLEASE let us add our own mp3's to the HD. maybe in an AVIC Z5 in the year 2010?

Yea still have issue though... I bought two of them... sitting on the bookshelf... I want a unit 100% not partially fixed... funny how we except to pay for a product that works some and not all....
