Does pioneer make or plan to make an HD Radio adapter for this unit?

Not according to who I asked at CES

Another reason to get rid-off my AVIC-Z1 and any other Pioneer components i may own. I don't know how you guys feel, but I am ready for some real customer appreciation and up to date technology support. Any recommendations on a equivalent navigation systems.

Actually, they will be bringing out a HD Radio add-on tuner at CES next week - GEX-P10HD I think is the model#... The bad news is that I understand on non-2008 radios, it connects as an "External Unit with Limited Functionality" - at least some motion in the right direction...

Agreed. Amazing what happens since I responded to this thread 18 months ago

I am glad to hear that Pioneer is coming out with an HD tuner. I wonder what limited functionality means?

Any news on a digital TV tuner?

They may make an update to the Z1/Z2s to accomodate the new functionality...who knows.
