Hey everyone, recieved and installed my z2 yesturday. DId the two wire bypass thanks to the info here and it works great. I had just a few questions if anyone could help me out, im sure they are common.

1 is when i have a dvd on and i want to switch to nav screen my rear monitor also switches to the nav screen, is there any way to have my rear monitor stay on the dvd?

2 when i have my ps2 hooked up is there anyway to view it on the screen in front but still be listening to my ipod?

3 is there anyway to completely take the z2 back to factory, this is a used unit and there is places programmed on the nav, also the nav seems to be a bit off, any suggestions on getting it right?

thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate it. thanks

1. There is a setting that tells the rear screen to mimic the front screen. Turn that option off.

2. Only 1 audio/video source is allowed at a time.

3.

To return the entire navigation system to the

default or factory settings, initialize the navigation

system in the following order:

1 Turn the ignition switch off.

2 Press the RESET button.

3 Start the engine.

After a few moments, the start-up screen

comes on for a few seconds.

4 Touch and hold the MAP button while the

start-up screen is displayed.

“Clear memory†screen appears.

5 Touch [Clear user information from hard

disk].

❒ This reset operation clears all music data

recorded in the music library. Note that the

cleared data cannot be restored.

6 Touch [Yes].

The user area in the hard disk drive is initialized.

After that, the navigation system restarts.

This would also be the best time to unlock and upgrade your drive to z3, or replace with a preconfigured drive.

Selecting the video for “Rear displayâ€

You can choose either to show the same image

as the front screen or to show the selected

source on the “Rear displayâ€.

1 Press the AV button to switch Audio operation

screen.

2 Touch the source icon and then touch

[REAR SCREEN].

Each touch of [REAR SCREEN] changes the

settings as follows:

• MIRROR — The video on the front screen

of the navigation unit is output to the “Rear

displayâ€

• DVD — The video and sound of the DVDs

are output to the “Rear displayâ€

• AV — The video and sound of the AV

INPUT are output to the “Rear displayâ€

❒ When MIRROR is selected, the following

restrictions are applied to “Rear displayâ€.

— When the TV tuner is connected with AVBUS,

its “Video image†cannot be output.

(Connect the TV tuner’s rear output to “Rear

display†directly.)

— When selecting [Rear View] in the map

display, nothing is displayed.

— All sounds cannot be output for “Rear displayâ€.

— There is no picture on “Rear display†while

[Picture Adjust] for [back-Camera] is carried

out.

There is an iPod trick to use the ipod instead of onscreen, but I don't recall it. Give a quick search in the forum.
