Yesterday I tried to find a location using my N3 and discovered what I feel is a programing error. The address is in the 600 block of SouthShore Dr., Seal Beach, CA.

 

When I was unable to enter the name of the street, I moved the map to the location and found that it is stored as S. Shore. I tried to enter it that way but was unable. I finally did a search of Seal Beach streets and was able to find the location, but we had already looked it up in the Thomas guide.

 

In all fairness to Pioneer, Microsoft Streets and Trips has it as S Shore Dr. The street signs say: "Southshore". I don't know if the city "modified" the name or what, but it appears to be a case where the street is officially called one thing, but the city calls it something else. It sure gives users of map programs fits though. YMMV
