I recently bought a new Z3 hard drive for my Z1. Is there any way to directly transfer music on my computer to the HD while its connected to the PC?

Or any transfers for that matter... what can we bring over to the new drive?

You can bring everything (music, addressbook, backgrounds, etc), but you must unlock the stock drive first.

Why exactly do I need to unlock my stock drive to put stuff onto my new drive? I tried to find a step by step and explanation but was unsucessful.

I don't want to copy whats on my old HDD and bring it over to the new. I want to straight transfer music that is on my computer into the new HDD.

It's not possible to transfer your music from PC to AVIC. You can only transfer the music partition from the old drive to the new drive. Maybe you should try to contact the person that sold you the drive for assistance?

eh, you pretty much answered my question. I only had about 300 tracks on my Z1... only listened to about 120 of them. I will just reburn the disks to the new drive. Thank you!
