I followed the instructions on the pdf file to a tee.

And it seems like the z3 doesnnt want to accept the hard drive.

I find it odd that you only restore 2 of the 4 partitions per the instructions.

Wouldnt you want to restore all 4 partitions making the audio library the largest?

Thanks for any input, and no I dont want to buy a preloaded drive.

If you are refering to my upgrade pdf, it was designed to only upgrade maps and software. This was to save the library and addressbook.

If you are wanting to upgrade the whole disk, then you will want to restore all 4 partitions + the MBR partition in one swoop.

Check the sticky:

Are you using a stock drive that you unlocked, or are you using a new toshiba 40, 60, or 80 gb drive?

If you have a NEW drive, then you will need to do a whole install (see sticky above). The pdf states in the assumptions that you have a working Z1, Z2 or Z3 drive to use the upgrade pdf.

Let us know.

So were you able to run it (MHDD)?

And, if so, were you able to remove security on your drive?
