Hi i am new here and a questions for you guys, Just put a d1 in my g35 and am having major problems, The place i took it to get done is a bunch of hackers and disconnected the bypass that radio had on it from the previous owner and hooked it up to my car, now the bypass doesnt work and ebrake wire doesnt work either. The ebrake wire is grounded but just doesnt show up as anything when the radio is on and almost all the menus are grayed out like system settings and all the navigation ones. Any input would be great

So do the bypass properly then.

AVIC-D1 lockout bypass: Find an extra Pioneer wire harness, and pull one of the wires out. Or, if you do not use the A.ANT lead, pull that out of the harness. In the AVIC-D1 harness, there is one open spot on the connector (next to the ground wire). Put the wire into the open spot on the connector, connect the other side to ground, then re-connect the plug to the AVIC-D1. Also, you must ground the Parking Brake wire (or connect to a toggle switch if you feel the need).

the bypass is done properly i think, but the problem lies within the ebrake, the unit just shows it as off im stuck

You're saying it doesn't detect the brake input at all?

Have you tried manually grounding the green wire?

If that doesn't work, try hitting RESET or clearing the learned data.

If that still doesn't work, I suppose it's possible the p-brake input transistor got fried, but I can't imagine how that could happen.

You need 3 things for the bypass to work:

1 - relocate and unused wire on the radio's wiring harness to the proper pin location. Make absolutely sure that the pin is seated in the harness properly.

2 - Ground that wire either to the radio's ground wire or to a screw or bolt on the body of the car.

3 - Ground the parking brake wire either to the radio's ground wire or to a screw or bolt on the body of the car.

If all 3 of those steps are done CORRECTLY the bypass WILL WORK, 100% guaranteed.

everything is done correctly but i still cant get it to work, i think it lies in the ebrake cause no matter what i do i cant the d1 to show that there is a parking brake connected it just says off and all the menus in the nav are grayed out no matter where i hook the wire up to.

Could be the D1 is broken, the wire accidentally got cut, or maybe the wire is pulling out of the harness.
