New to this forum. I just bought a used AVIC-HD3 (bluetooth). I'm having serious freezing problems on bootup. Does anyone have or know where i can find a new hard drive image for it?

Nope...the aussie version has not been played with, though i assume the primary difference is the maps and probably the voice prompts. You can send it in to Pioneer.

I have sucessfully updated a HD1BT to HD3-II HD3-2 firmware software. I bought a HD3-II and a HD1BT and followed the instructions on this forum for Z1 - Z3 upgrade. I used a Toshiba MK6034GAX 60GB disk with enlarged music partition. Will try Toshiba MK8032GAX 80GB disk soon (1-2 weeks).
This would definetely work for a HD3BT - HD3-II update as well.
I think the Australian versions of the HD1BT HD3BT and HD3-II units are different from the European ones. Anyone know anything about this?

I would think they're identical, apart from possibly the actual maps...

try this http://www.mediafire.com/file/r4nc2n3lv8dpdp8/FW_BootFreezeFix.zip down load it copy it onto a cd-r and just put it into the machine it will restart and fix it, cheers
