Ok, why woudl they release the deck and not the cable to control or play the Ipod/itouch/iphone..etc...??

I've looked everywhere, Futureshop/bestbuy...but there is no Pioneer cable. I can use the one APPLE makes, but I've been told that this does not support video..

Help anyone????

You could always order one off of the internet...

I know I tired that... there are only like 3 available on ebay... and cost alot to ship to canada. Also, most commercial retailers wont ship to canada...you have to go to thier "Canadian" version of the websites to ship. eg, www.futureshop.ca

So... if anyone knows if there are any retailers in Canada that sell this... PLS let me know... this sucks without ipod functionality

Called Pioneer Canada... apparently there are no retail stores in Canada that sell the Pioneer iPod cable...

Great news! Purchase the F700bt....but guess what! you wont be able to use the ipod functionality!...and we wont tell you that you wont be able to purchase the cable in canada!

HA! Pioneer FAKED me in the ass with this one!

Hey,

I just had my F-700 series installed at futureshop. I also bought

the apple cable to go along with it. The apple cable works with

the voice recognition and its plays video through my Ipod Video

30 gig, 5th generation. Was just watching South Park a few minutes

ago. It was just installed yesterday, just getting all the settings adjusted

in the car. You have to get the apple cable with the composite (red, white, and yellow, plus the usb connector). Was priced at $54.99 at

futureshop.

Hope that helps

i shoul mention though that i am having some issues with this ipod on this deck. every now and then i start the car with the ipod connected and it says on the screen ipod connection failed please reconnect. i beleive it to be a pioneer issue but it could well be a ipod composite cable issue?

/Ok, I've also heard that the video wont work with itouch...using the apple ipod cable..... not sure if anyone can confirm that?

It's not because of the cable. The updated itouch firmware seemed to cause some problems with compatibility. Both cables operate identically.

Is there a patch for the updated firmware? I havent updated my itouch yet... but there are alot of great apps ....if you get the 2.0 update.

I agree I never upgraded mine to version 2.0 and I haven't had one problem with it. Also I'm using the pioneer cable.
