so that i would not be riding around with no radio.

but the lady at Pioneer's warranty department (1-800-421-1404) was adamant that there was not.

she it only takes 3~5 days for most repairs.

just wondering if they had one, but the D3 was so problematic it is not covered.

Depends if the 1 year manufacturer's warranty is still active or not. But even then, you would need to send it in for repairs and wait for them to send it back. There is no "swap" or "exchange" program.
