I've done the bypass and can operate the map / routes while moving, I can input video from the AV source (albeit that input doesn't work right) but I get nothing but sound from USB videos. No video at all. Just a black screen. I tried it still and moving. Anyone got ideas?

They're probably encoded with the wrong codec.

Make sure they're .mp4 files, with (IIRC) h.264 video and mp3 sound - check the specs in the back of the manual to be sure.

Make sure you have the video mode button set to video.

It doesn't seem to auto select and at least before 2.0 update, I used to be able to do video sound with no screen in audio mode... nice if you just want to listen to some music videos.
