I did the upgrade and still the same no control no charging nothing.

I'll second this.
Tried it yesterday and nothing. Got the beep and a quick change of battery icon... but nothing else.

Which cable are you guys using? Genuine Apple or the Pioneer? I want to get a touch to go along with my F700 but this is obviously a deal breaker
It also has to allow movies to play before I would consider one :(

using the pioneer cable. I did the update last night too and confirm it doesn't work. I really really really don't want to lose my apps. This sucks. I hate when things don't work.

That really sucks. I would really like to download apps plus maybe the video part would work as well just like the Iphone did when it went to the 2.0. I wonder why if they are the "same thing" one works and one doesnt.

My Touch was working with audio but no video.
I updated my touch last night and now I have neither. I am using the Pioneer cable.

That's strange. Your audio should still work if your using it via video input.
Maybe redo your settings and try it again.
I am also finding that my battery dies MUCH faster when I use it in the car. Not sure why considering its only playing music with the screen off.
Where or where is Pioneer to fix this!!!

Does the ipod touch work if you change the input from ipod to a generic av in? You'd have to control it from the touch but does that at least work?

Yes it works that way. And for some reason it seems to drain the battery pretty quickly too. but it does work, with the exception of video. That doesn't work
