I recently purchased an AVIC D3 open box from Circuit City. I bought it without the NAV discs (but i got it for a really good price). I have been reading this forum for a few days to try to find a solution to this. I have read that the Pirate Bay had the torrents for the East and West discs. I do not see them on there after searching "pioneer navigation" as well as " avic d3 maps" with no success. Can anyone help me? It would be much appreciated.
try looking for "d3 east disk" and "d3 west disk"
i tried Pirate Bay again using those, but no luck. Is there a torrent site you could reccomend?

(In the info it does not say Avic D3 but it does work on the D3)

The 70MTP disc DOES work on the D3. I am using the 70MTP disc straight from Piratebay and it is not mislabeled. Why would I be lying to the guy?
1. Download the 2.7gb torrent....
2. Use winrar to get the 7 gb .mdf and .mds files...
3. Use Alcohol 120% to burn on a dual layerer...
4. Insert disc in Avic and will take 2 mins to update
Maybe it was the other way around, with the D3 disks not working on the D1 or D2... I don't remember.

You have to use Alcohol 120% to burn it. It wont work using any other programs, download the trial version. Read the comments on the torrents, when using Nero, Roxio, NTI it does not read on the AVIC. Only Alcohol 120% will work.
Am I doing something wrong? Got the download for the 70MT West but it show only 28 kb. When I use winrar it put me on limewire download. It is taking forever to get 1% download. I have roadrunner internet. Download other stuff ok. WHAT AM I MISSING.

guys this working i just downlOADED THE DISC AND BURNED IT USING ALCOHOL AND THE DVD WORKS. NOW I HAVE A ? I HAVE A FRIEND THAT OWNS A STREO SHOP AND HE HAS ALL THE NEW UNITS. HOW DO I COPY THE NEW NAV DISC. DO I USE ALCOHOL?

I just downloaded the West disc and when I try and unzip the file it is asking me for a password. Has this been password protected? And if it has does anyone have the password? Thanks

Did anyone notice that once the upgrade has ocurred that once in a while the D3 indicates a reading error upon initialization of the unit. Then it is also fine other times?
Multiple burns with same results.
Just curious as it is not too much of a hassel, but none the less would be great if it did not happen at all.
It seems to occur more if I take the disc out and put it back in (or put in a DVD or CD) and then return the nav disc.
I've downloaded from Pirate Bay twice and the sizes and md5deep sums have not matched the previous post. The downloaded rar is 6,258,105,696 bytes (AVIC D-Series Maps 80MT.rar), unrar'd files West 8,505,401,344 bytes, East 8,166,576,128
