D3 into 350z. Harness question.

I bought my D3 used from my350z.com. It was originally in a non-bose 350z but I have a feeling he was running an amp for all his speakers as the regular speaker wires were just taped off. Attached is a pic.

From the looks of it, I have a different harness than what normally comes as they are not wire leads but RCA outs on the AV plug.

From what everybody else with a BOSE 350Z says I will need the PAC POEM-NIS2 unit to integrate my setup with my BOSE stereo as its all RCA inputs on the bose amp. Considering the harness that I have here can I not just use the front out and rear out and sub out to power my BOSE system in my 350Z?

Do I have a different harness than what normally comes? Something doesn't look right here to me.

everything except the big white connector on the right is what comes with the D3. You can get rid of that part, then simply buy the harness you need and connect them matching the color of the wires.

matching the color of the wires.

dont always match colors, sometimes the same wire will be a different color between the 2 harnesses. it's always best to refer to the diagrams the harness and d3 manual provide and match them up that way.

Well I bought the Metra 99-7402 install kit and the PAC ROEM-NIS2 to wire it up. The install went really smoothly. The install kit fits perfectly and centers the deck well in the dash.

The line leveler from PAC also works fantastically. The stereo has amazing volume and the sound compared to the oem stereo is so much better. I really can't express how bad the stock sound is compared to simply adding an aftermarket head unit.

The wires in the PAC ROEM-NIS2 are exactly the same as the wiring harness from the radio so you literally just match them up. I did the bypass as well while I was at it so I can program the nav and watch a DVD while driving the car.

All in all, it was 2 hour job from start to finish for the install. It took me about 45 mins to make up the harness including soldering. THe PAC ROEM-NIS2 only had 4 wires not used. They were low level inputs for radios with less than 25W so these don't apply to the AVIC D3 obviously.

Really anybody putting an AVIC D3 into a 350z needs the install kit and that PAC unit, it made the install a breeze.
