I have a stealth faceplate that I am making, and part of it includes taking several neodymium magnets around the headunit, and then having that attach to a magnetic faceplate.

Do you think there will be any interference with all those magnets?

Just my opinion, but I think it should be okay. There's no magnetic media inside the D3.

People have installed the GPS antenna directly on to the top of the unit with no drawbacks at all. And that antenna has a very strong magnet on it.
