I have a AVIC HD3 fitted to my works van as I need the sat nav alot with work and dvd's to watch when sitting on site. I don't know how to find this wire, or should I just leave it not connected? My van is an LDV Maxis Dropside like here http://www.1000vans.com/vans/YJ08SYF-d.jpg . I think the headunit is great. Cheers for any info

Whoa! I think I'll let HiFiSi handle this one. :?

Shit... I've never seen or hear of one of those either. You could maybe contact the manufacturer and ask them. But in all honesty, you can run the D3 without the VSS wire hooked up and it might be fine. I'd say just go without it and see how well the nav runs. And if you need to, you can hook the VSS wire up later.

I will try it and see how it goes :). I have not used the nav since being fitted in the van, as I removed it from my car. I spend most of my time in the van, so I thought it best to put it in my works van. I have now put the model of the unit up in the first post ie AVIC HD3. Cheers

Cool. But for future reference, if you have any questions about that unit, go and ask on the Z series board. The AVIC-HD3 is Europe's equivalent to the US AVIC-Z3, in fact they are basically identical units. It's not a D-series unit.

Thats what I just noticed lol. I knew it had D3 in part of my unit so thought it was for this section. Cheers
