I brought my car to a shop yesterday to install the AVIC-D2 on my 2007 Mustang GT. Everything works accordingly EXCEPT everytime I turn the Car ON...my speakers make a popping noise.

Can someone please help me so that I can let these morons at the shop know. Thanks for your time!

Too much voltage is going to your amp.

You will need to decrease the amount of voltage going to the amp.

Would this also stop turn off popping? I have a 2003 kia optima and the speakers pop when i turn off the car.

bad ground to the amplifier could also be the case
