D2 won't power up.

I've had my D2 installed in my 350z for over 1 year now. Had been working perfectly. All of a sudden, the screen goes blank white, and no audio is coming from the CD in the deck.

I power off the car, wait a minute, then power back on. There is power going to the unit, as all of the buttons are lighting, and you can tell that the screen is on, but it doesn't power up.

Nothing comes over the display, and no other functions are working. Seemed a little hotter to the touch, than normal.

Manufacturer's warranty expired back in April. Didn't buy the extended warranty from Circuit City. Pioneer says they can fix everything for a flat rate of $200.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately it sounds to me you are going to be out $200... because whatever is wrong with it is not something you can fix yourself. Unless you are experienced in electronics repair. You might be able to find some place else to fix it for less possibly.

you can disconnect power to the unit and or reset it if that doesn't fix it then you have to send it to pioneer to have it fixed!
