Hi all-
I am getting a D1 installed (old I know) into my car. One of the functions I wanted was to connect my iPod video to the D1 (I have the iPod RCA cable). Is this possible/does it work? Could audio be played this way also?
Thanks,

You will need this to make an ipod work with the AVIC-D1.

If you don't need iPod control from the D1 (and I would recommend you don't use it, D1/D2 iPod control is horrible), you can just use an aux input adapter with the existing RCA cable you have. There are also aux input cables with iPod dock connectors on the other end and can charge your iPod.
I think using the A/V input will work too and you won't have to buy anything. I'm not positive since I never tried it, but you should be able to listen to sound while driving, but will need to set the park brake (or have a video bypass) to be able to watch video.
Thanks guys - exactly the answers I was looking for.
