Turned the car on today and the AVIC-N3 will not open. I press the open button and nothing happens... Is there a manual way to open this? Wonder if its just stuck? If not, I'll just bring the car in to where I bought it... Comes with a 5 year warranty or something ridiuclous that I purchased when I had it installed...

Since you have the warranty I thing you should just bring it in and not mess with it yourself.

If it is jammed and you try and force it and it ends up breaking, they may not honor the warranty.

try pushing reset.

i have the same proble sometimes. it will turn on an play music but the screen wont slide out. i try resetting it and it doesn't work. i usually just get pissed off enough and threaten it an it decides to work. let us know if you figure it out

Try removing the face and reattaching it. I've see that happen a few times in the past. THe removable part somehow gets loose and the n3 refuses to turn on.

well thats the thing .the unit still turns on and plays music and you can change the source and volume and all that jazz, but since the face won't open, you can't use navigation or change the playlist on the iPod or really do much of anything outside of basic audio controls.

So 8 months later you still haven't done anthing about it? Why don't you just take it back to the shop that installed it have have them send it out or fix it .
