Can anyone tell me where the revers wire is for a 2001 f-150 XLT extended cab and what the color is? I am hooking up a reverse camera to my D3 and have no clue what to look for. Any help is appreciated.....

Just use the power wire the goes to either of your 2 reverse lights at the back of the car.

HiFi can you give me a little more info on what exactly I need to do with this? I have never hooked up one of these cameras before. An installer I talked to was saying something about +/- polarity and hooking this wire here and that wire there. I have hooked up things in cars before but have never had to deal with polarity issues.

You can tap the red acc. wire off your radio for your camera +(positive) or any acc. that turn off with the key and tap any black wire for the -(negative) wire.Tap the camera's reverse wire off the L or R reverse light wire on the rear of the vehicle (like HiFiSi said) and you're set.
