Can the illumination wire be connected on a 2005 Trailblazer?

The installer stated he could not do it. He tried to explain that the system sends some type of +/- pulse that does not work.

It can, but not at the radio. THe installer would have to run a wire to the parking light feed. Easiest place to get it is at the fuse box in the seat. Should be a brown wire.
