Do you have steering wheel controls hooked up?
I was thinking the exact same thing. Something else is sending a VOLUME UP signal to the unit constantly, either remotely (steering wheel controls) or internally (a faulty volume knob)
But I think if the volume knob was faulty and giving it a constant volume up command it wouldn't turn down the volume when you turn the knob to the left, maybe.
ya i have the stupid PAC SWI-PS hooked up but i didnt get around to fully programming it. im gonna go ahead and say that is the problem.
simply disconnect it from the unit and see if the problem still occurs. Then you'll know where the problem is.
