i have a 2007 Honda element, and its anxiously waiting for a double din GPS head unit.

after visiting a few forums, and asking a lot of questions, i understand the F series are less than satisfying. ive been recommended the D3 by countless members.

whats a fair price.. say ebay, brand new? its a private seller, so i assume no warranty.

there's one D3 starting at 500, and buy it now for 700. i doubt it will go for 500 flat, with only 1 bidder, but is 500-600 new a fair ball park?

$700 is way too high. 1) the F700BT is less than that, 2) 200 more and you can find a Z series on eBay easy. There's someone on this forum who was selling it for 465 if you want to search the classifieds

Just for some perspective....I just got a used a used Avic D3, Ipod Cable, and official Nissan Maxima double din dash kit (new 140 from dealer) for 520 from ebay. The guy had a "make an offer" button and he and I negotiated this out.

I didnt originally negotiate for the Ipod cable (i didnt know he had it), but he told me when he mailed it that he threw it in there. A real nice guy.

I'm expecting it to come in tomorrow.

I honestly cannot recommend it in good face.. I would say to get one of the others if you can swing it as they seem to be much better units.. I love mine to death, but it has a lot of quirks, which others may have.. i.e. sending me on a 5 mile loop to get me back on the same street one block from where I turned onto the 5 mile loop. I have seriously been contemplating getting a Kenwood or Eclipse system to replace it. But dunno yet..
