My opinion, it's worth it, especially if your car doesn't have factory steerring wheel controls. It's nice being able to adjust vol, change tracks and such without having to touch the radio.

I agree with cntrylvr79.If you want to see what its buttons operate go to the Pioneer Electronics site under Accessories/CD-VC1/Owners Manual . (CD-VC1 is the same remote but comes with the mic for AVIC-N3 voice comand). For some reason there is no owners manual under the CD-SR11. I'm happy with mine. There is no mute button but volume buttons are at your finger tips and they can change audio or nav volume. You can also turn source off by holding the sorce button for 1 sec. You can change map size, repeat nav instruction etc.

Those remote are great since it is easy to access from the steering wheel.

The only complain i have is that the remote doesn't work when the sunlight shine into the headunit. The sensor gets blinded by the sunlight and the remote will not work.

BobyYoo, I read about that problem here before. How often do you have trouble with the sun on sensor ? Just wondering because I've never had any problems in the 3 months that I've owned mine. Do you have a sun roof ? I don't.

in summer time, i get that problem all the time.

i dont have sunroof but i drive with my windows open most of the time.
If i close my windows, i dont have that much problem since i have really dark tinted windows.

i probably drive in the same direction as the sun. or maybe it is the way my headunit angle is.

Ok, Maybe the windows being down makes some difference.Mine are always up, I like my AC. My windows have normal factory tint for a car.
