Is it just me or is there no way to shut down the Z2. I just put one in my 06 Escalade EXT but unlike the factory stereo (had button to shut off) I can't turn it off.

 

It powers on with that RAP crap when i unlock my door and its getting annoying.

You mean the sound? Sound should shut off the same as the factory stereo does. The problem might be your interface kit.

 

If you mean the screen, if you turn the audio source off (onscreen OFF button), the screen stays on unless you manually turn the screen off by pressing and holding the V button. As long as there's power on the red wire, the screen is lit.
